October 27, 2009, Cleveland, Ohio: The upcoming prestigious Minimally Invasive Surgery Symposium (MISS) will include discussion of advances in metabolic surgery, a robotic approach to colon surgery, single-port bariatric surgery, transoral gastroplasty, and other “frontier” topics. That February 2010 program announcement was made today by MISS Executive Director Philip R Schauer, MD, on behalf of the symposium’s organizers and 50-member faculty.
The five-day CME conference, which will be held February 22-27 at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina, covers the latest advances in laparoscopic surgery for colon, hernia, and foregut. In addition, its flagship program on morbid obesity is one of the largest gatherings of bariatric specialists in the country. MISS offers surgeons and other clinicians the opportunity to earn as many as 38 AMA PRA CME credits™.
